On the recommendation of a friend a decided to take the plunge and purchase my first app on the iTunes App Store — hard to believe I lasted this long on Free Apps.

The app is Tweetie - an iPhone client to Twitter.  I don’t consider myself new to Twitter, I hear about it weekly on one of my favorite podcasts.  But I decided to take the plunge and get social in a micro-blogging kind of way. 

Tweetie is great - I find the interface smooth and intuitive to navigate.

Outside of the fact that it seems to fit right in on the iPhone … with it iChat chat bubbles; it has a nice array of features.  Some of my favorites:

• Post links with automatic link shrinking via bit.ly
• Send DM text to email
• Upload pictures to twitpic.com

Compared to a previous Free Twitter client (that shall remain nameless) - it is inherently faster.

For the few bucks I am glad I made such a quality purchase out of the gate. Thumbs up.

Now if I could only get more people to follow this new dancinking
